Once upon a time I would notice the little things. Then adulthood, family life, financial burdens, work, and everything that is our rat-race took over.

"I should be __fill-in-the-blank__" became my prison.

My eyes no longer were present.
Instead, my vision always looked beyond today.

My memory forgot true importance.
Instead, I pained over the past and worried about the future.

I became so busy DOING, I forgot how to BE.

One day, waking up, I realized I did not know; was confused.
I was lost; I truly did not know who the hell I was.

And then, a question burned, and a very long journey began; to remember. 

Now I do; I remember who I am.

Now I notice again, everyday, the little things that matter.
